The Food rating option '1' is very fitting in the case of the Lifeboat Inn in Courtmacsherry - avoid like the plague! My boyfriend and I ate there last weekend, and hands down it was one of the worst meals either of us have ever had. He ordered a Homemade Burder and I ordered a warm chicken salad with bacon and pine nuts - whilst the descriptions sounded appetizing, the dishes we received well over 30 minutes after ordering, were not. I can only assume that the leftover chicken from some curry dish made its way into my salad, as it was made up of diced, curried chicken, along with some tasteless pieces of something that resembled bacon, tossed in some lettuce leaves and pine nuts. The only saving grace of the dish was a slice of brown bread on the side. The Homemade burger, completely overcooked and topped with some of the same tasteless bacon that accompanied the salad, was extremely disappointing and lacking in flavour. In such a popular tourist spot, it is really disappointing to find that establishments like this pub cannot even do the simple things right. I wouldn’t recommend this pub for food to anyone, and won’t be back. - Anonymous, Ireland - Aug 3, 2010NRNRNR1

Whenever visiting the lovely picturesque village of Courtmacsherry it is a must to pay a visit to this splendid pub at the end of the village. There is a great atmosphere, lovely barfood and plenty of drinks to be served by the very friendly bar staff. Many nights there is great live-entertainment from sinatra to the good 'ol traditional folks music. Also for those Elvis lovers, you are guaranteed to get yourself involved in a deep conversation with the friendly owner Gary A.K.A as the king himself "ELVIS".

A splendid pub i must say! - Dutchy, Ireland - Apr 6, 2005
